TEAMS AND GROUP REGISTRATIONS:

DESCRIPTION OF SWIM ROUTES AND TIME LIMITS:

Con el fin de salvaguardar la seguridad e integridad de los participantes, habrá un tiempo límite establecido para finalizar cada ruta del evento, una vez concluido, el Comité Organizador procederá a retirar de la ruta a los participantes que aún permanezcan en ella, se les retirará el chip de cronometraje y serán acercados a la meta para concluir su recorrido.

750 MTS:

The start will be in front of the beach club of the Hotel Delfines Varadero, where a circuit of 750 meters will be established, and participants must complete one lap to reach the finish line again at the beach club of the Hotel Delfines Varadero. TIME LIMIT: 30 MIN

1.5 KM // 3 KM:

The start will be in front of the beach club of the Hotel Delfines Varadero, where a circuit of 1500 meters will be established. 5 KM // 10 KM:

The start will be at the Beach of the Delfines Hotel where participants must follow the buoy path that will mark the route. The 5 KM distance will be marked by the yellow buoy circuit, and the 10 KM circuit will be marked by the yellow buoys, incorporating the orange buoys until reaching back to the Beach of the Delfines Hotel. TIME LIMIT FOR 5 KM (2 HOURS AND 30 MINUTES) // 10 KM (5 HOURS).

IMPORTANTE:

✽ The competitors who do NOT complete the course in its entirety or who do NOT start in the official starting area on time and in the proper manner will be disqualified.

✽ Competitors must pass through all electronic timing checkpoints for the correct recording of their times.

✽ The use of devices that facilitate propulsion (such as fins or paddles) is prohibited; if a participant is caught using such items, they will be disqualified.

FINISH ZONE

The finish line will be located at the Beach of the Delfines Hotel. At the finish line, participants will receive their official participation medal, their recovery kit with water and isotonic drink, and they will be able to collect their wardrobe.

PARTICIPANTS MUST USE THE TIMING CHIP ON THEIR ANKLE.

GRAN RETTO® will use its Active – Ipico Sports Electronic Timing technology of the latest generation with high-end chips and equipment that ensure the highest accuracy in timing.

IMPORTANTE:

✽ Si el participante no se coloca correctamente su chip de cronometraje será descalificado.

✽ Antes de arrancar es OBLIGATORIO pasar por la zona de pre-arranque o de lo contrario el chip de cronometraje electrónico no se activará y el participante quedará descalificado de manera automática perdiendo todos sus derechos como competidor.

✽ En caso de pérdida o extravío del Brazalete o el Chip de Cronometraje Electrónico, el costo de reposición es de $ 25.00 USD (Veinticinco Dólares Americanos).

✽ Si por alguna razón el participante no regresa su chip de cronometraje al finalizar el evento, deberá comunicarse con el Comité Organizador para devolverlo, de lo contrario se le solicitará cubrir el costo de reposición en el próximo evento al que asista.

MEDICAL SERVICE:

First aid medical assistance will be provided during the event in case of an emergency. If necessary, participants will be transported to the nearest hospital, and the cost will be the responsibility of the participant. ACCEPTANCE OF RESPONSIBILITY AND RISKS:

By participating in the event, all conditions and guidelines set forth in the announcement are accepted. Additionally, the competitor agrees that they are a swimmer in good physical condition and that they do not have any illness, condition, or injury that would affect their performance. It is understood and accepted that participation in the discipline of open water swimming carries the risk of serious injury and even death. With this knowledge, at the time of registration, the participant acknowledges, accepts, and assumes this risk. By participating in the event, the Organizing Committee is released from any responsibility in the event of an incident, and the participant waives any moral, monetary, legal, or any other claims related to it..

It is accepted to be filmed or photographed by the designated personnel, and the Organizing Committee of the event is allowed to use the name, photograph, and biographical information before, during, and after the participation period in the event for promotional purposes..

The Organizing Committee of the event is NOT RESPONSIBLE for transportation, accommodation, and food expenses due to the cancellation and/or delay of the event by order of the competent authorities, due to unforeseen circumstances or force majeure, and the registration fee will not be refundable under any circumstances.
